About the Artist

Alison Courtenay-Dunn began painting in 1995, whilst working for Jocasta Innes' company "Paint Magic" specialising in decorative paint effects. Five years later she set up her own business as a Decorative Painter, and has since worked alongside many notable Interior Designers and Clients, producing custom commissioned works in both residential and commercial settings.
Alison is a certified Italian Plaster applicator, having graduated from the School of Italian Plasters Decoration Academy, where she was trained in the exclusive techniques and skills required to apply authentic Italian Plasters correctly. Such techniques which have been applied in Italy for centuries include an 11th century Mantovano plaster, and Stucco Veneziano, a smooth venetian plaster which is burnished to an ultimate high shine, and is robust enough as a final decorative finish on bathroom walls.
